Which? Valve Oil

DENIS WICK Advanced Formula Valve Oil with PTFE

'The chemical name of PTFE is Polytetrafluoroethylene, and it is the most slippery substance on earth. It is found in many everyday usages such as non-stick pans, Gore-Tex rainwear and in dental floss. Its unique properties transform ordinary valve oil into an extraordinary lubricant, the microscopic particles acting as minute ball-bearings.......etc etc'  Denis Wick

At the shop we stock 7 or 8 different types of valve oil, all declaring different qualities, offering outstanding performance, but are they all different? I'd like to hear your views.
  • Which valve oil do you use? have you tried?
  • What instrument do you play? (Make/Model)
  • Does it work?????

'Put your money where your mouth is' Joe Marcinkiewicz

This is the advertising slogan of the Marcinkiewicz mouthpiece company. We all know how important the mouthpiece is, it's your way of getting air into the instrument, resulting in the noise coming out of the other end. I know why I use a Marcinkiewicz mouthpiece, but what mouthpiece do you use? and what features do you like?

Graham Hayes - Marcinkiewicz 9B Trombone
Designed with a V/C Cup the mouthpiece rim is more rounded, I like this as there is no sharp inner rim cutting into my lips. Because of the rim this mouthpiece have given me more stamina, more flexibility and my upper register is much more stable.
